{"id":285384,"date":"2025-11-27T01:58:12","date_gmt":"2025-11-27T01:58:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/285384\/"},"modified":"2025-11-27T01:58:12","modified_gmt":"2025-11-27T01:58:12","slug":"withnell-health-centre-thanked-for-amazing-3090-donation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/285384\/","title":{"rendered":"Withnell Health Centre thanked for &#8216;amazing&#8217; \u00a33,090 donation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Withnell Health Centre hosted a coffee morning and raffle to support the Rosemere Cancer Foundation, Breast Cancer Research and Breast Cancer Now.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  To raise the funds they baked and donated cakes for the coffee morning, which was organised to coincide with the surgery\u2019s Saturday flu jab clinic. They also gifted raffle prizes.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The health centre serves not just Withnell but a number of neighbouring villages.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Medical secretary, Trisha Foote, said: \u201cAll the health centre\u2019s staff \u2013 doctors, nurses, administration staff \u2013 were involved in the fundraising as were many of our patients.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cWe look after 5,500 patients from the Withnell, Brinscall, Abbey Village and Wheelton areas.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;We fundraise annually for charity and have supported many causes but for the last three years, we have focused on breast cancer.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Rosemere Cancer Foundation funds projects that help breast cancer patients locally and is also a cause close to many staff and patients\u2019 hearts.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Fundraising assistant for Rosemere Cancer Foundation, Hannah Leahy, said: \u201cWe are extremely grateful for our share of the funds raised by the staff and patients of Withnell Health Centre.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Every penny will stay locally to help people in our community currently undergoing cancer treatment.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The Rosemere Cancer Foundation works to bring world-class cancer treatments and services to cancer patients throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Withnell Health Centre hosted a coffee morning and raffle to support the Rosemere Cancer Foundation, Breast Cancer Research&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":285385,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[43],"tags":[102,2960,56,54,55],"class_list":{"0":"post-285384","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-healthcare","8":"tag-health","9":"tag-healthcare","10":"tag-uk","11":"tag-united-kingdom","12":"tag-unitedkingdom"},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/285384","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=285384"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/285384\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/285385"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=285384"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=285384"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=285384"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
