Ruth Codd <\/a>has confirmed she has undergone her second leg amputation <\/a>after \u2018destroying\u2019 her joints when using crutches.<\/p>\n At age 15, she injured her leg while playing football, resulting in nerve damage and constant pain which surgeries failed to correct.<\/p>\n After nearly 10 years of pain, Ruth\u2019s leg was amputated below the knee but now she has made the decision to remove her other leg.<\/p>\n The Celebrity Traitors<\/a> star shared the update in a video saying there was some \u2018good news\u2019 and \u2018bad news\u2019 for fans.<\/p>\n \u2018The good news is that we\u2019ve had a full circle moment and I\u2019m back making TikTok<\/a> content in my parents\u2019 house,\u2019 joked Ruth, 29.<\/p>\n \u2018The bad news is that I can\u2019t do it in front of that lovely, floral blue wallpaper anymore due to the fact that that room is upstairs and I\u2019ve just had my second below knee amputation.\u00a0<\/p>\n \t\t \u2018So unfortunately, those facilities are not available to me at the current moment in time.\u2019<\/p>\n Ruth first rose to fame through the social media<\/a> app in 2020, documenting her self acceptance as she navigated life with a disability<\/a>.<\/p>\n Two years later she was scouted to star in The Midnight Club and The Fall Of House Of Usher<\/a>, going on to appear in How To Train Your Dragon.<\/p>\n \u2018A lot to unpack for everyone involved,\u2019 Ruth continued as she showed off her \u2018new whip\u2019 wheelchair.<\/p>\n With her usual sense of humour she quipped: \u2018I like to call her Fat Tony, and she has the top speed of f*** all per hour, especially if there\u2019s a step involved.\u2019<\/p>\n Ruth explained that this second amputation was needed as she was always on her tiptoes when using her crutches over those eight years.<\/p>\n The joints in her feet \u2018were destroyed\u2019 and past the point that doctors were able to intervene.<\/p>\n \u2018I\u2019ve already had to have all my toes amputated, and so I have no toes and so my foot looks like a little hamburger,\u2019 she revealed in a video on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n While getting a tattoo, Ruth told the artist: \u2018So with the second one, it\u2019s just the same situation.
