Arsenal are looking to agree a deal worth around \u00a320million a year with a new sleeve sponsorship partner,\u00a0sources have told Football Insider.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Visit Rwanda has been Arsenal\u2019s sleeve sponsor since 2018<\/a>, but it has been a highly controversial deal among the club\u2019s supporters.<\/p>\n

Arsenal held talks about extending their partnership with Visit Rwanda<\/a> before confirming the deal will now come to an end next summer. <\/p>\n

It is understood the agreement with the African country\u2019s tourist board is worth around \u00a310m a year. <\/p>\n

Sources have told\u00a0Football Insider\u00a0Arsenal<\/a>\u00a0are looking to land a deal worth closer to \u00a320m with a new sponsor.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The initial deal with Visit Rwanda was signed for three years in 2018 before later being extended in 2021 for a further five years. <\/p>\n

In a statement on 19 November,\u00a0Mikel Arteta<\/a>\u2019s side confirmed the two parties had \u201cmutually agreed to conclude their partnership\u201d. <\/p>\n

It comes after\u00a0Arsenal fans have protested against the partnership<\/a>, with Rwanda\u2019s government accused of investing in sport to improve its image globally.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It is also widely known Rwandan president Paul Kagame is a Gunners fan<\/a>, raising questions around whether the sponsorship deal has really represented value for his country. <\/p>\n

The partnership coming to an end has come as a surprise to many after Visit Rwanda was recently announced as the official international tourism sponsor of the LA Rams, strengthening ties with\u00a0Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke<\/a>, who also owns the NFL franchise.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The tourist board has also agreed a similar deal with NBA franchise the LA Clippers, while it has other partnerships already in place with\u00a0PSG<\/a>,\u00a0Bayern Munich<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Atletico Madrid<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ex-Man City sponsor makes contact over Arsenal deal<\/p>\n

There are believed to be several parties interested in taking up the Gunners\u2019 sleeve sponsorship once Visit Rwanda\u2019s deal comes to an end. <\/p>\n

Football Insider\u00a0revealed on 10 October\u00a0Arsenal have been approached by German software company SAP<\/a>\u00a0about a potential deal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

SAP is in the mix to land Arsenal\u2019s sleeve sponsorship after it didn\u2019t extend its partnership with the City Football Group (CFG) \u2013 the owners of Manchester City<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The Walldorf-based firm, which has a market cap of more than \u00a3250billion, was previously a global sponsor of CFG from 2015 before the deal wasn\u2019t extended earlier this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In terms of the financial situation at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal generated the third-highest revenue in the Premier League<\/a> in their latest published accounts for 2023-24, with their turnover surging from \u00a3467m in 2022-23 to \u00a3617m. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, their commercial income increased from \u00a3169m to \u00a3218m across the same period. <\/p>\n
