{"id":286148,"date":"2025-11-27T13:05:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-27T13:05:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/286148\/"},"modified":"2025-11-27T13:05:08","modified_gmt":"2025-11-27T13:05:08","slug":"bbc-verify-live-examining-indonesia-flood-video-and-building-a-hong-kong-fire-timeline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/286148\/","title":{"rendered":"BBC Verify Live: Examining Indonesia flood video and building a Hong Kong fire timeline"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Videos capture early stages of Hong Kong tower block firepublished at 11:53 GMT<\/p>\n<p>11:53 GMT<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-8kvzjk-Contributor etflsgg2\">Emma Pengelly and Yi Ma<br \/>BBC Verify<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Two videos posted on the social media platform Threads show the initial stages of yesterday\u2019s Hong Kong tower block fire, which has killed at least 55 people and left hundreds of others unaccounted for. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">By matching fence lines, trees and exterior walls with Google street-level images of Wang Fuk Court, we\u2019ve confirmed the clips were filmed near an entrance of Wang Cheong House, the easternmost block in the complex.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">We know they show the beginning of the fire because a video filmed later from farther away, shows only Wang Cheong House burning.
