I will announce a closing date once it has been confirmed. Please continue to support all of the shops, bars, restaurants etc in Wrexham, they rely on your custom.” Sign up for the North Wales Live newsletter sent twice daily to your inbox

This post followed an earlier message from a shopper who had said that the store would close.

North Wales Live contacted Next.

They said: “We can confirm that our NEXT Wrexham Outlet store will cease trade on Saturday 20th December.”

The leasing agent for the park was aware of the closure and said they hoped to announce a new tenant for the unit in the near future.

One shopper said: “Such a shame, another great shop closing….and at a difficult time for all of the staff there.”

Another added: “I was sorry to hear that you were closing l have picked up many bargains in store over the years and your staff have been friendly and courteous.
