\n The former Crown Decorating Centre in the estate off Mill Race Lane is set to become a golf simulator, complete with three simulator rooms, a customer shop, an entrance area and a customer caf\u00e9.\n<\/p>\n
\n Plans for a change of use of the unit, which is currently vacant, from a warehouse to a \u201cgolf simulation suite\u201d were approved by Dudley Council planners earlier this month (November 14).\n<\/p>\n
\n In the officer\u2019s report, which recommended the plans be approved, it says no alterations are planned for the external fa\u00e7ade of the building, and it will be open from 10am until 10pm every day.\n<\/p>\n
\n Alterations are proposed to the existing parking area to the front of the unit to create a disabled and electric vehicle parking bays, with a bin storage area in front of the proposed disabled parking bay.\n<\/p>\n
\n The leisure attraction, which will be located next to Stourbridge Motorcycle Centre and opposite Domino’s and Just Tyres, will have two full-time members of staff.\n<\/p>\n
\n The case officer concluded: \u201cThe development would seek to utilise a vacant industrial unit for a leisure use within an edge-of-town centre location.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cThe nature of which would bring back into use a vacant unit that would support the vitality and viability of the Stourbridge town centre.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cSubject to the inclusion of a number of conditions, there are no adverse amenity issues or highway safety issues that would warrant the refusal of the application.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
