{"id":287853,"date":"2025-11-28T12:54:07","date_gmt":"2025-11-28T12:54:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/287853\/"},"modified":"2025-11-28T12:54:07","modified_gmt":"2025-11-28T12:54:07","slug":"tyson-fury-posts-video-celebrating-the-fight-that-made-him-a-legend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/287853\/","title":{"rendered":"Tyson Fury posts video celebrating the fight that &#8216;made him a legend&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of the standout heavyweights of this generation, <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/boxer\/tyson-fury\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tyson Fury<\/a> has cemented himself as one of Britain\u2019s best, and today \u2018The Gypsy King\u2019 is celebrating the anniversary of the fight that he believes \u2018made him a legend\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Fury became a two-time British champion by defeating <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/boxer\/derek-chisora\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Derek Chisora<\/a> on two occasions, but close shaves against both John McDermott and Steve Cunningham had fans doubting whether he could achieve success at the world level.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, when he ventured to Germany to take on <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/boxer\/wladimir-klitschko\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wladimir Klitschko<\/a>, Fury entered the ring as a sizeable underdog, as he attempted to put an end to the second-longest reign in the history of the heavyweight division.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, a <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/news\/on-this-day-tyson-fury-dethroned-wladimir-klitschko\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">masterclass from the Briton made the upset a reality<\/a>, as Fury put together a phenomenal performance to dethrone the Ukrainian and bring the heavyweight marbles back to the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>On <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/DRl-deVjQ6T\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&amp;igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">his Instagram<\/a>, Fury beamed with delight on the 10-year anniversary of that night, admitting that he has been celebrating the victory every day since.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGood morning, everybody, it\u2019s been a decade today, 10 years later, a full decade since I dethroned the long-reigning heavyweight champion of the world, Wladimir Klitschko.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c28th of November 2015, on that night I said \u2018today, Tyson Fury goes down as a legend\u2019, that was before the fight \u2013 never mind beating him and going on to do exactly what I did. Come on!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have been celebrating that every day, Wladimir, for 10 years. Thank you Wlad, for making me a multi-millionaire, very successful and a multi-time world champion.
