Shona McGarty has come under fire from I’m a Celebrity viewers after they expressed outrage when she misled campmates about completing her assigned duties.<\/p>\n

The controversy erupted when ITV2\u2019s spin-off programme Unpacked aired previously unseen clips from the jungle.<\/p>\n

The footage revealed Kelly Brook struggling alone with the camp\u2019s water supply task, a demanding job involving heavy lifting that was supposed to be shared between her and Ms McGarty.<\/p>\n

Viewers took to social media after watching the 46-year-old model repeatedly carry water buckets while the 34-year-old former soap star was nowhere to be seen.<\/p>\n

One viewer posted on X: \u201cVery interesting on Unpacked that Shona isn’t pulling her weight on chores & Ruby\/Lisa noticing!! How hasn’t Kelly kicked off!? #imaceleb.\u201d<\/p>\n

The unseen clips then showed Ms Wax directly confronting Ms McGarty at the campfire. \u201cShona, were you on water duty?\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n

When Ms McGarty confirmed she was, Ms Wax replied: \u201cI didn’t know that. I didn’t think you were on water duty. You weren’t seen.\u201d<\/p>\n

The model claimed she was \u201cdoing the weights\u201d, miming a lifting motion, but Ms Wax responded: \u201cI’ve never seen Shona do the water.\u201d Emmerdale star Lisa Riley backed up her observation.<\/p>\n

The footage also showed Ms McGarty praising Ms Brook\u2019s efforts in the Bush Telegraph, saying: \u201cI think Kelly\u2019s getting on really well. Every time I turn around, there’s new water on the boil. So, yeah, she\u2019s smashing it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The clip then cut to Ms McGarty yawning while Ms Brook worked, before showing her asleep as Ms Brook carried water in the dark.<\/p>\n

During Thursday night\u2019s episode, Ms McGarty revealed she had recently ended her engagement to musician David Bracken. <\/p>\n

The emotional moment came after campmates began discussing marriages and proposals.<\/p>\n

When rapper Aitch spoke about fans proposing to him and Ms Brook mentioned her multiple engagements, Ms McGarty quietly walked away.<\/p>\n

She later told Tom Read Wilson while washing dishes: \u201cI just couldn’t be part of that conversation. When I came in, I had just broken up with my fianc\u00e9. So I just walked away.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ms McGarty and Mr Bracken, a guitarist with Irish band Blessed, got engaged in 2024 after meeting through social media the previous year.<\/p>\n

Their split happened shortly before Ms McGarty travelled to the Australian jungle for the ITV reality series.<\/p>\n

She became tearful as she opened up to Mr Read Wilson about her hopes for the future. <\/p>\n

\u201cI really want a family. I\u2019d love to be a mummy, and a wife,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Mr Read Wilson offered reassurance, telling her: \u201cFocus on you now, what turns you on in your talents. People in your orbit will celebrate you and your orbit will grow, and one day by accident, somewhere in that orbit will be that person.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cYou are a raving beauty,\u201d prompting an emotional reaction from Ms McGarty.<\/p>\n

Reflecting later in the Bush Telegraph, she said: \u201cWhen you’re not feeling great, to have Tom in camp is such a blessing. If I wanna open my heart, he gives the best advice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ms McGarty\u2019s relationship with Mr Bracken began when he contacted her on TikTok to propose a musical collaboration. <\/p>\n

They met in person in 2023, and he proposed at Kyoto Garden in Holland Park the following year.<\/p>\n

The actress previously dated EastEnders co-stars Matt Lapinskas between 2011 and 2013, and Max Bowden for six months in 2022.<\/p>\n

She was also engaged to electrician Ryan Harris from 2018 to 2020.<\/p>\n

Despite the recent split, Mr Bracken publicly supported her jungle stint, posting an encouraging message online after her arrival.<\/p>\n
