To this day, fans debate which of the \u2018four kings\u2019 was the greatest and Thomas Hearns remains frustrated that his case is not a stronger one, believing that one of his defeats was unjust.<\/p>\n
During the 1980s, Hearns fought against his fellow \u2018kings\u2019 on four occasions, but registered victory over only Roberto Duran, losing by knockout in his legendary scrap with Marvin Hagler and losing to and then drawing with \u2018Sugar\u2019 Ray Leonard<\/a> in their duology.<\/p>\n Still, the exciting \u2018Kronk\u2019 style of fighting adopted by \u2018The Motor City Cobra\u2019 makes him a fan-favourite, and the fact that he became boxing\u2019s first five-division world champion makes him a legend.<\/p>\n Yet, speaking to Boxing News back in 2021<\/a>, Hearns revealed his annoyance at his 1989 draw with Leonard, who has since admitted himself that \u2018The Hitman\u2019 deserved to get the nod<\/a> on the scorecards.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s when it makes a difference, when it shows up on the record, and that was good of him to say that to the world, but I want to see it on the record.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m very happy and thankful he said I did win the fight, but to the world, it doesn\u2019t mean anything.
