A body has been found in a search for a missing<\/a> Scots man.<\/p>\n

The tragic discovery<\/a> was made in Gatehouse of Fleet in Dumfries and Galloway at around 10.40am yesterday, Saturday, November 29.<\/p>\n

Adrian Knott’s <\/a>family have been informed but formal identification has yet to take place. Officers are treating the death as unexplained but it is not believed to be suspicious.<\/a><\/p>\n

The 51-year-old was reported missing on Monday, November 24 and was last seen at around 11pm the day before in Gatehouse of Fleet<\/a>. His vehicle was traced in the remote Knocktinkle area which lies to the north of the town.<\/p>\n

Police<\/a> Scotland utilised both drones and a helicopter as they searched the area looking for him.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the force said: “Around 10.40am on Saturday, 29 November, 2025, the body of a man was found at the Gatehouse of Fleet.<\/p>\n

“Formal identification has not taken place yet, but the family of Adrian Knott, 51, was reported missing on Sunday, 23 November, 2025, have been informed.<\/p>\n

“The death is being treated as unexplained but not believed to be suspicious.
