A care home in Brough<\/a> has been rated ‘Good’ in all areas following its first Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection. Primrose House in Bluebird Way provides residential care, including for people with dementia<\/a>.<\/p>\n During the visit, inspectors observed the residents\u2019 experience in the home. They spoke to several residents, families, and staff members, seeking feedback on the service the care home offers.<\/p>\n Inspectors were impressed with the “person-centred care”, stating that the team at Primrose House “worked closely with people to make sure their care and support were based on what really mattered to them”. It also found residents were supported to manage their health<\/a> and wellbeing, maximising their independence.<\/p>\n The CQC praised Primrose House for its “shared vision, strategy and culture”. It said the care home promoted a “positive culture where people felt they could speak up and their voice would be heard”.<\/p>\n Comments from residents and families quoted in the report included: “The management team are great and very approachable. The registered manager communicates really well with everyone and will support in any way they can.”<\/p>\n Inspectors reported that the home “always treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion and respected their privacy and dignity”. It said people were “at the centre of their care and treatment choices”.<\/p>\n The home was commended for building positive community partnerships since opening. There was a “proactive focus on community-based activities”, with “shared activities such as storytelling, arts and crafts, and seasonal celebrations” that strengthened community connections.<\/p>\n Braiden Brettell, General Manager at Primrose House, said: “We are delighted to receive a \u2018good\u2019 rating from the CQC for our first inspection at Primrose House.
