If you’re shopping for the latest iPhones, Apple<\/a> now offers 256GB of storage as standard with all iPhone 17 models, but for previous-generation iPhones or devices from other brands, I recommend choosing 256GB of storage over 128GB<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Why? Because apps and photos are now larger than ever before, and they’re only set to get bigger. Specifically, as phone cameras have become more advanced, photos captured with them have gotten larger in size, and apps, too, have ballooned in size thanks to new features, higher-quality graphics, and more regular updates.<\/p>\n

If you’re not someone who plans to take loads of photos and download loads of storage-hungry apps, then 128GB of storage may be an acceptable capacity for you. But for 90% of users, I’d advise playing it safe with a 256GB model.<\/p>\n
