{"id":292538,"date":"2025-12-01T05:46:10","date_gmt":"2025-12-01T05:46:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/292538\/"},"modified":"2025-12-01T05:46:10","modified_gmt":"2025-12-01T05:46:10","slug":"hull-kr-chairman-confirms-documentary-launch-date-with-willie-peters-set-to-be-honoured","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/292538\/","title":{"rendered":"Hull KR chairman confirms documentary launch date with Willie Peters set to be honoured"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img width=\"2400\" height=\"1793\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/AM20769.jpg\" class=\"attachment- size- wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"  \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Hull KR head coach Willie Peters is set to be honoured with the club also confirming the launch date for their upcoming documentary.<\/p>\n<p>The Robins made history in 2025 as they broke their trophy drought in conclusive fashion, winning the Challenge Cup, League Leaders Shield and Grand Final, becoming just the f<a href=\"https:\/\/www.seriousaboutrl.com\/rugby-league-news-how-hull-kr-rank-among-the-greatest-super-league-sides-after-completing-treble-109370\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ifth side to win the domestic treble in the Super League era<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019ll now seek a fourth trophy when they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seriousaboutrl.com\/rugby-league-news-world-club-challenge-broadcast-details-confirmed-as-hull-kr-and-brisbane-broncos-set-for-free-to-air-tv-110629\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">take on NRL champions Brisbane Broncos in the World Club Challenge<\/a> in February but before then, a documentary is set to be released on the club\u2019s historic 2025 campaign.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s been confirmed by chairman Dr Paul Sewell with Sewell revealing the premiere date also ties in with head coach Willie Peters being honoured by the University of Hull.<\/p>\n<p>Hull KR treble-winning documentary launch date confirmed<\/p>\n<p>Taking to social media, club chairman Dr Paul Sewell congratulated Robins\u2019 coach Willie Peters on the awarding of an Honorary Doctorate from the city\u2019s university.<\/p>\n<p>Peters will graduate on December 17th and the club have taken the decision to premiere their documentary encompassing the 2025 season at that event.<\/p>\n<p>Posting on X, Sewell said: \u201cHeartfelt congratulations to Willie Peters on the award of an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Hull.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are delighted to take the opportunity at his graduation on 17th December to Premiere the KR documentary \u2018Renaissance\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you all concerned for making this happen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last year\u2019s treble winners Wigan Warriors also released a documentary showing off their incredible season with that three-part series airing on Sky Sports.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018We are Wigan Warriors\u2019 was met with great acclaim as the three-part series documented the club\u2019s campaign, including a Matt Peet and Willie Peters spat at the Challenge Cup semi-final.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s now the turn of Hull KR to have their own documentary.
