I’m truly overwhelmed by the messages and support we’ve seen.

“It’s clear that AIR 107.2 has a loyal following and remains a strong part of this community. I want to give my heartfelt thanks to every volunteer who has given their time, passion and energy. You’ve kept the station alive, and your continued support will be vital as we rebuild.

“A huge thank you to Marc for stepping up during a very challenging period and helping keep the station going. His commitment has been massively appreciated.”

It has also been announced that Jamie Lyones has been appointed as a director to support Mr Greenham. He will play ‘a vital role in developing the commercial side of the station as AIR 107.2 strengthens its business partnerships and advertising opportunities’.

All volunteers have been informed of the changes and ‘they have expressed their gratitude the station has been saved and they fully support the next chapter’.

Regular broadcasts will continue as normal throughout the transition. Subtle improvements will be introduced over time as part of the station’s ongoing development.

The station has now launched a JustGiving page to assist with clearing the remaining debts and securing AIR’s future.

Mr Greenham said: “Any donation, big or small, will help us keep AIR alive while we rebuild and move forward.”

Weymouth and Portland radio station Air 107.2 to close

The GoFundMe page can be found here: https://gofund.me/e192f23c5

The volunteer-run Weymouth and Portland station Air 107.2 announced in November it would cease to operate amid financial…

[28
96,128,56,54,55
0":"post-292796","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-music","8":"tag-entertainment","9":"tag-music","10":"tag-uk","11":"tag-united-kingdom","12":"tag-unitedkingdom
["GET
