In a curious moment on\u00a0The Graham Norton Show, Alexander Skarsg\u00e5rd<\/a> addresses his sexuality, as Harry Potter<\/a> star Miriam Margolyes<\/a> asks him if he is gay.<\/p>\n

The question came in light of his most recent role in the queer BDSM film\u00a0Pillion<\/a>, in which he plays Ray, a dominant leather biker opposite actor Harry Melling<\/a>, with whom he shares several intimate kink scenes.<\/p>\n

\u201cI felt a strong sexual connection\u201d \u2013 Alexander Skarsg\u00e5rd remembers the first time he met Miriam Margolyes<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe you own, or used to own, a condo in Santa Monica. Is that correct?\u201d the Swedish actor said, recalling that he once enquired about renting her room.<\/p>\n

In a hilarious moment, the actress could not recall meeting Skarsg\u00e5rd, though he remembered the interaction fondly. He quipped that he \u201cmisread the cues, but I felt a strong sexual connection\u201d and \u201cfelt this could potentially get messy if I rent a room in this apartment, if I\u2019m your tenant.\u201d<\/p>\n

She replied: \u201cDaring. I\u2019m 84, gay and I have been with my partner for 58 years\u2026 you\u2019re talking through your bottom,\u201d prompting laughter from celebrity guests Glenn Close and Nicola Coughlan.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, not really\u201d \u2013 Skarsg\u00e5rd addresses his sexuality <\/p>\n

Speaking about Skarsg\u00e5rd\u2019s role in\u00a0Pillion, Margolyes asked, \u201cBut you\u2019re not gay, are you?\u201d The 46-year-old, who is in a relationship with Swedish actress Tuva Novotny, with whom he has a son, replied: \u201cNo, not really.\u201d<\/p>\n

There has previously been speculation surrounding the actor\u2019s sexuality, after an interview with\u00a0Variety<\/a>\u00a0in which he said: \u201cI\u2019ve been with men, women\u2026\u201d, a comment immediately picked up by fans.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe I just discovered I have bi-radar,\u201d one fan wrote. Another, hoping Skarsg\u00e5rd was confirming his bisexuality, said: \u201cThis made him even hotter and I didn\u2019t think that was possible!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy character in\u00a0The Moment\u00a0is very different from Ray\u201d \u2013 Skarsg\u00e5rd comparing his role in Pillion to The Moment <\/p>\n

Skarsg\u00e5rd\u2019s next role is in Charli XCX<\/a>\u2019s upcoming film,\u00a0The Moment<\/a>. In the new issue of\u00a0Attitude Uncut<\/a>, the actor compared his queer role in\u00a0Pillion\u00a0to the singer\u2019s mockumentary.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt feels incredibly brat,\u201d he said. \u201cA different definition of brat! Tonally, they\u2019re very different. My character in\u00a0The Moment\u00a0is very different from Ray. And\u00a0The Moment\u00a0is definitely unique in its tone. It\u2019s rare to read something that feels surprising.\u201d<\/p>\n
