The answer to that question is unlikely to be Eintracht Frankfurt. At least, according to what German publication BILD<\/a> reported this weekend, with Frankfurt instead fully focused on bringing in Will Osula from Newcastle.<\/p>\n Ironically, it was alleged that Fullkrug could be heading to the Commerzbank Arena as a replacement for a striker West Ham could, and in hindsight probably should, have signed last summer.<\/p>\n Hammers News understands that former technical director Tim Steidten considered Mainz hitman Jonathan Burkardt<\/a>. Steidten would probably have been remembered with a great deal more fondness in East London had he taken the plunge.<\/p>\n Should West Ham cut their losses on Niclas Fullkrug in January? <\/p>\n \u201cI think it might make sense to make a change.<\/p>\n \u201cMany would probably agree that Niclas is a classic penalty-area striker \u2013 strong in the air, physically powerful, able to shield the ball \u2013 basically made for the Premier League. [But] in retrospect, you have to say the transfer didn\u2019t work. There\u2019s no sugar-coating it.<\/p>\n \u201cTime and again, just when you thought, \u2018now he\u2019s coming, now he\u2019ll show England it wasn\u2019t just a good Euro and then nothing afterwards\u2019, another injury came.
