\n The new enterprise has opened in the old water sports centre on Goodwick Parrog, which had previously been closed for at least a decade.\n<\/p>\n
\n The building has been brought back to life by Pembrokeshire couple Peter and Chantel Ridley, who secured the lease from Pembrokeshire County Council and have been working hard t give it a complete makeover.\n<\/p>\n

\n They are now running the building an artist\u2019s studio, antique shop, caf\u00e9 and art gallery with plenty of scope for community involvement too.\n<\/p>\n
\n Peter and Chantel have transformed the main space in the building, formerly used as office space, painting the walls, installing a mantlepiece and covering the floors in antique rugs.\n<\/p>\n

\n Chantel\u2019s eye-catching paintings adorn the walls, while comfy leather sofas and low tables provide a place to enjoy both a cuppa and the art. Plants and antique furniture complete the look, creating a space that is both cosy and drenched with light.\n<\/p>\n
\n Down the corridor is Peter\u2019s Treasure Chest shop brimming with a quirky collection of vintage and antique finds.\n<\/p>\n
\n Another room holds items that will be sold to help a charity providing support for elderly people in the community as well as support school children in Uganda.\n<\/p>\n
\n Other rooms in the building are being offered to local people to rent as meeting rooms, therapy rooms or studios.\n<\/p>\n
\n The couple became interested in the old water sports centre looking for studio space for mixed media artist Chantel.\n<\/p>\n

\n Self-taught artist Chantel is known for her luscious use of vibrant colour and texture and her paintings of local places and harbours.\n<\/p>\n
\n Husband Peter runs I Like to Move it Move it house clearance and removals company and deals in antiques and unusual finds.\n<\/p>\n

\n \u201cWe came to Goodwick and I said \u2018I really like it here\u2019,\u201d said Chantel. \u201cThere were birds here I had never seen and such a lovely feeling. I said that I would love to have my studio here, to be by the sea.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cThis place came available, and It all started from there.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n Chantel now works in a studio next to the main gallery with a stunning view out to sea.\n<\/p>\n
\n As well as her original pieces, visitors can also buy mugs, prints cards and bags displaying her work as well.\n<\/p>\n
\n Chantel and Peter are also keen for other artists to use the gallery space and for groups to use it for meetings and other purposes.\n<\/p>\n

\n The Lighthouse Gallery and Treasure Chest on Goodwick Parrog opened on Saturday, November 29.\n<\/p>\n
\n It went really well,\u201d said Chantel. \u201cA lot of people came. It was lovely to meet the people that have been knocking on the windows to ask when we are opening. We met a lot of really nice people.\n<\/p>\n
