Quentin Tarantino<\/a> is criticizing one of Paul Dano<\/a>\u2018s movie performances once again. <\/p>\n

The 62-year-old filmmaker recently revealed his Top 20 movies of the 21st Century and on it was one of Paul\u2018s earlier films, 2007\u2032s There Will Be Blood, which was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson<\/a>. <\/p>\n

While Quentin overall loved the movie, he really didn\u2019t like Paul\u2018s dual performances as identical twins Eli and Paul Sunday. <\/p>\n

On The Brett Easton Ellis Podcast<\/a>, Quentin praised the movie and Daniel Day-Lewis<\/a> and thought it could\u2019ve been higher up on his list (he put it at No 5) if it wasn\u2019t for Paul. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere Will Be Blood would stand a good chance at being #1 or #2 if it didn\u2019t have a big, giant flaw in it \u2026 and the flaw is Paul Dano. Obviously, it\u2019s supposed to be a two-hander, but it\u2019s also drastically obvious that it\u2019s not a two-hander,\u201d the filmmaker said. \u201c[Dano] is weak sauce, man. He is the weak sister. Austin Butler<\/a> would have been wonderful in that role. He\u2019s just such a weak, weak, uninteresting guy. The weakest f-cking actor in SAG [laughs].\u201d<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time that Quentin has talked down on Paul and his performance in the movie. Previously, he said that there was nothing bad about his portrayal of the twins, but it \u201cdoes seem a compromise.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s just not in the level and the caliber and the caliber of Daniel Day-Lewis and if the two characters are meant to be combats throughout the film, then Daniel Day-Lewis is Muhammed Ali and Paul Dano is Jerry Corey. It is what it is,\u201d he said, via Screen Rant<\/a>. <\/p>\n

For his part, Paul was only supposed to play Paul Sunday, but after the actor for Eli Sunday left the movie, it was decided to have Paul step in for both, and he said he only had a few days to prep. <\/p>\n

\u201cI was cast at the last minute. I had three and a half to four days to get ready for the first day. I just went for it, threw myself in there and gave it everything I had. That was just guts and instinct, not a lot of preparation. I was in good hands with Paul [Thomas Anderson] and Daniel [Day Lewis], I felt I had to cut loose and go for it.\u201d<\/p>\n
