Kerry Katona<\/a> is famously besties with Katie Price<\/a>, but that doesn\u2019t mean she\u2019s abandoned her chart-topping friend Peter Andre<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Navigating a friendship with your best mate\u2019s ex-husband<\/a> as they clash over the raising of their children<\/a> isn\u2019t for the faint-hearted.<\/p>\n

But nobody has ever called Kerry\u2019s personal life easy.<\/p>\n

In case you somehow missed it, Katie and Peter met and fell in love on I\u2019m A Celebrity<\/a> way back in 2004, tying the knot in a publicly broadcast ceremony the next year.<\/p>\n

After four years together and two children, the pair called it quits and have had a frosty relationship ever since, with Peter remarrying in 2015.<\/p>\n

Kerry, 45, spotted his wife, Emily MacDonagh<\/a>, at the Beauty Awards recently and decided to go over and say hi \u2014\u00a0despite what Katie might think.<\/p>\n

Writing in her New! Magazine column, the former Atomic Kitten wrote: \u2018I saw Emily at the Beauty Awards too. My daughter Heidi stayed at Pete and Emily\u2019s last week, so from one mum to another, I went and introduced myself.\u2019<\/p>\n

Heidi, 18, is a long-time friend of Princess Andre<\/a>, also 18, having known each other since infancy due to their mum\u2019s close bond.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019ve never met Emily before, but we sat down and chatted away \u2013 what a lovely girl she is,\u2019 Kerry continued.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m a very fair person, and Katie knows this. I was texting Pete the other week and let Katie know.\u2019<\/p>\n

Both Princess and Junior, 20<\/a>, live mainly with their dad, with alleged family tensions bubbling over earlier this year when Princess was forced to address rumours<\/a>\u00a0of a feud between herself and her mum.<\/p>\n

The teen defiantly told The Daily Mail<\/a>: \u2018There\u2019s no rift between me and either of my parents.\u2019<\/p>\n

Pricey, 47, does tend to throw the occasional shady comment <\/a>towards her ex, including spilling details during her recent tour with Kerry.<\/a><\/p>\n

While discussing how Kerry actually brought them together during a show, the former Glamour model revealed: \u2018Well, he had a manager. When I came out, because I wanted to be with Pete and Pete wanted to be with me, I needed to be careful how I word things now\u2026\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019ll say it!\u2019 Kerry to cut in before Katie continued: \u2018[Peter\u2019s manager] ended up managing me and Pete and\u2026 There were three of us in the marriage.\u2019<\/p>\n

More recently, they clashed over Princess\u2019 TV series, with\u00a0Katie claiming that she wasn\u2019t allowed to appear in the series because she is considered \u2018trash\u2019.<\/p>\n

Peter then shared a lengthy statement on his Instagram page<\/a>, saying his silence \u2018ends today.\u2019 <\/p>\n

While it seemed the tensions would explode into a full-blown spat, Katie\u2019s reps responded and said she was \u2018at peace\u2019 with the situation.<\/p>\n

In her column, Kerry added: \u2018I haven\u2019t got beef with these people but Katie\u2019s always going to be my girl and I\u2019m always going to have her back.\u2019<\/p>\n
