Cindy Crawford<\/a> and Rande Gerber\u2019s son, Presley Gerber, candidly opened up about his mental health struggles in a new Instagram video.<\/p>\n

Presley, 26, detailed his mental health journey in a video<\/a> posted on Monday, December 1, explaining that he wanted to discuss the topic because \u201chonesty is the best policy.\u201d<\/p>\n

He shared that he is currently on several depressant medications, including Buprenorphine, Xanax and valium. Presley told his followers that he is taking the medications to treat his \u201cpanic attacks\u201d amid his mental health struggles.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe benzos have been fluctuating up and down depending on what’s been going on in my life,\u201d Presley said. \u201cUnfortunately, I’ve had a lot of loss in many different forms recently, so that is not an excuse, but it’s the reason why I am where I’m at now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Presley also said that he takes Xanax \u201cwhen the panic attacks are really, really bad\u201d and \u201ca little bit\u201d of valium in the morning. \u201cI don\u2019t know if it’s a little bit or a lot, who f**king knows at this point anymore,\u201d he admitted.<\/p>\n

The model went on to admit that he has mixed feelings about using the medications.<\/p>\n

Presley shared his concerns about using the medications and the different opinions he\u2019s received from doctors about his treatment.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe doctors say a lot of different things, so it’s kind of scary, but hopefully between my research and their research \u2026 and God, we can figure this out,\u201d he said. \u201cThe things that scare me are the things you need to take \u2026 if you don’t take them, something not good happens. And there’s a spectrum there on how intense the withdrawal from certain medications is.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Presley has seen many doctors to discuss his mental health, he said he feels like he doesn\u2019t have \u201cas much direction as I would like to have\u201d regarding his treatment.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’d like doctors to be like, \u2018Take this three times a day,\u2019\u201d he said. \u201cBut every psychiatrist I\u2019ve had \u2014 I\u2019ve had 15 \u2014 are like, \u2018Here’s 20 medications and take this if you feel like this \u2026 and I’m like, \u2018No, don’t get me that much leeway.\u2019 I need some direction.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to taking medication, Presley explained he\u2019s been able to manage his mental health by working out and cutting out alcohol. Additionally, he has surrounded himself with people who have \u201cgood influences on me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs I’ve grown up in Hollywood, there\u2019s a lot of people around me that I love to death, but right now I try not to be around them,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Presley concluded the video by saying he hopes his message \u201creaches people in many ways.”<\/p>\n

“So you feel like you\u2019re not alone, because that is how I feel most of the time and I have a feeling that if I say all of this, a lot of people will at least know that there’s someone else going through it,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd the second thing is, hopefully I find some people out here and are willing to help or know someone that can help.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shortly after Presley shared the video, several social media users took to the comments section to praise him for his transparency.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s really good that you haven\u2019t had a drink in a couple of months !!! That\u2019s amazing. I respect you for speaking truth,\u201d one person wrote, while another added, \u201cGod bless you Presley and we support you always.\u201d<\/p>\n

A third social media user chimed in, \u201cYou are amazing. Thank you so much for your honesty on your journey and please know that it is helping lots of people. I have been where you are. It is horrible to feel like a science experiment as you figure out what medications are helpful. Stay the course there is light at the end of the tunnel. Much love.\u201d<\/p>\n
