Jamie Redknapp admits he has changed his tune about one Tottenham Hotspur star as he has seen more of him.<\/p>\n

Many players struggle to shake off the early reputation they develop among the media in England.<\/p>\n

One such example is current Tottenham captain Cristian Romero, who continues to be labelled as overrated<\/a>, owing to some of his brash tackles early in his Spurs career.<\/p>\n

Even though the 27-year-old has a much-improved disciplinary record over the past few years, some still view him as a red card waiting to happen.<\/p>\n

Redknapp waxed lyrical about the Spurs<\/a> centre-back for his brace against Newcastle, admitting that the defender\u2019s diving header for his first was up there with one of the best he has seen.<\/p>\n

The former Tottenham midfielder revealed that he was not the biggest fan of the Argentine at first, but admitted that he has grown on him.<\/p>\n

Given the growing disconnect between the Spurs players and the fans<\/a>, and the doom and gloom surrounding the club, the Lilywhites desperately needed their big players to stand up at St James\u2019 Park.<\/p>\n

That is exactly what Romero<\/a> did, and his determination to get on the end of that cross from Mohammed Kudus<\/a> tells you the kind of character he is.<\/p>\n

It would have been easy for the Tottenham players to feel sorry for themselves when that controversial penalty was awarded to Newcastle.<\/p>\n

The desire they showed to throw bodies forward and fight back shows what this set of players are made of.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
