The Batman may be returning to Glasgow for filming after the city was transformed into Gotham a few years ago.<\/p>\n

Fans of the superhero franchise are gearing up for the prospect of the masked vigilante arriving in the city once again after various locations featured in the 2022 film.<\/p>\n

Some scenes, including the final shots of the film, were filmed in Glasgow\u2019s Necropolis and the Glasgow Cathedral in February 2020.<\/p>\n

Robert Pattinson will reprise his role as Batman in the sequel, with Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis and Jeffrey Wright also set to appear again.<\/p>\n

Luke Hull, the production designer for the sequel, shared new photos on social media tagging locations in Glasgow such as Anderston.<\/p>\n

Fans flooded the comments with excitement, hoping once again that Batman will descend on the city.<\/p>\n

The film has entered pre-production, with principal photography scheduled to begin in January 2026.<\/p>\n

The movie is scheduled for release in cinemas in October 2027.<\/p>\n

It comes after movie buffs were starstruck at Tom Holland filming explosive scenes for Spider-Man: Brand New Day in the city earlier this summer.<\/p>\n
