However, the decision to skip the event once again was confirmed in a statement: &#8220;Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) currently has no plans to exhibit at Gamescom 2025. However, we look forward to exciting content and releases coming later this year.&#8221; Sony is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/news\/2025\/07\/tokyo-game-show-2025-set-to-be-biggest-ever-confirms-sony-square-enix-sega-more\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">confirmed to be exhibiting at the Tokyo Game Show<\/a> in September.<\/p>\n<p>This means any first-party PS5 titles or games backed by Sony won&#8217;t be playable on the showfloor, but it doesn&#8217;t rule out announcements being made at the Gamescom Opening Night Live showcase.
