Ross Marshall <\/a>(Alex Walkinshaw<\/a>) receives some big news about his ex-partner in EastEnders next week.<\/p>\n Alongside son\u00a0Joel<\/a> (Max Murray<\/a>) and partner\u00a0Vicki Fowler<\/a>\u00a0(Alice Haig<\/a>), the trio came to Walford for her uncle Martin<\/a>\u2019s (James Bye<\/a>) funeral.<\/p>\n It soon transpired that they couldn\u2019t return to their home in Australia, as Joel had\u00a0upskirted a pupil in his class<\/a>, and Ross had paid her family $50,000 in exchange for their silence.<\/p>\n He\u2019s since enacted havoc on the residents of Albert Square, impregnating Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James)<\/a> and introducing new mate Tommy Moon<\/a> (Sonny Kendall<\/a>) to dangerous adult content online.<\/p>\n Later, Joel showed Tommy videos made by a disgusting influencer, who degrades women.<\/p>\n Joel thought this was an appropriate way to talk about the opposite sex, branding his own mum a \u2018slapper\u2019, talking about how she abandoned him as a child.<\/p>\n Fans of the BBC One soap then began to question whether his estranged mum was none other than returnee Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan)<\/a>, which was only fuelled further when he told Vicki that she \u2018ain\u2019t his mother\u2019, echoing Zoe\u2019s words two decades earlier.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, judging by upcoming scenes, that theory seems to be dead in the water.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t Next week, Ross takes Joel and Tommy to work at the timber yard on Turpin Road, hoping it will keep them out of bother during the school holidays.
