Health and wellness platform Hims & Hers Health has signed a definitive agreement to purchase US-based YourBio Health, which provides capillary blood sampling technology.<\/p>\n
YourBio Health\u2019s technologies are focused on making blood collection simpler and flexible, including options outside of traditional healthcare settings.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s TAP device, which operates on the HALO technology, utilises thin, bladeless microneedles to collect blood samples in a matter of seconds.<\/p>\n This method is designed to avoid the pain and complexity associated with standard blood draws such as venipuncture or fingersticks.<\/p>\n The TAP device and its underlying technology are said to be covered by a range of patents related to microtechnology, device integration and sample handling.<\/p>\n The acquisition merges the wellness platform of Hims & Hers with YourBio\u2019s virtually painless micro-needle technology, transforming how blood sampling is performed in the future.<\/p>\n YourBio Health CEO Paul Owen and chief scientific officer Dr Michael Mina will join the Hims & Hers Health team.<\/p>\n Dr Mina said: \u201cYourBio\u2019s HALO and TAP technologies are ushering in some of the most significant scientific advancements in the blood collection space in decades.<\/p>\n \u201cBy using micro-needles thinner than an eyelash, these systems produce high-quality blood samples with essentially no discomfort. This technology has the potential to change how people engage with routine blood collection \u2013 replacing long waits and painful needles with a far more convenient, user-friendly experience.\u201d<\/p>\n The purchase amount will entirely consist of cash from Hims & Hers Health\u2019s existing funds, and the transaction closure is anticipated in early 2026, contingent on regulatory clearances and other customary conditions.<\/p>\n Hims & Hers CEO and founder Andrew Dudum said: \u201cThe next generation of health innovation will be built on proprietary technologies that make wellness simpler, more comfortable, and more human.<\/p>\n \u201cYourBio\u2019s patented TAP and HALO technologies represent major advancements in user experience and design, and we\u2019re excited to bring them into the Hims & Hers ecosystem.\u201d<\/p>\n \n Sign up for our daily news round-up!
