Jack Nicholson<\/a> looked thrilled as he spent Thanksgiving surrounded by family<\/a>, in a rare photo<\/a> posted by his daughter, Lorraine. <\/p>\n

The Hollywood legend<\/a>, 88, was included in an Instagram<\/a> carousel captioned \u201cNovember to remember\u201d, alongside Lorraine and his son, actor Ray Nicholson.<\/p>\n

Jack shares Lorraine and Ray with his ex-wife, Rebecca Broussard, to whom he was married between 1989 and 1994. <\/p>\n

He is also father to Jennifer Nicholson, 61, Caleb Goddard, 54, Honey Hollman, 43, and Tessa Gourin, 31. <\/p>\n

Jennifer also made an appearance in one of the photos and left a fire emoji in the comments section of her sister\u2019s post.<\/p>\n

Fans of the Terms of Endearment star were excited to catch a glimpse of the now-reclusive actor. <\/p>\n

\u201cYour dad looks great!\u201d one follower wrote, while another commented: \u201cI feel so happy when I see Jack Nicholson healthy and smiling. Such a beautiful and beloved person.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lorraine last shared a photo of her with her dad back in January, in a touching snap that showed her with her arms around him at home.<\/p>\n

The photo marked the first time the One Flew Over the Cuckoo\u2019s Nest actor had been pictured in a new image in years. <\/p>\n

Lorraine previously spoke about her relationship with her father in a 2011 interview with US Weekly, <\/a>where she talked about his role in her own acting career.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s my mentor,\u201d she explained. \u201cI\u2019m going into the family business because we\u2019re so close and he\u2019s such an inspiration. I admire him so much.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also shared the one piece of advice from her family members that she continues to follow.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy grandma always told my father, \u2018Don\u2019t toot your own horn,\u2019 which in Nicholson speak means, \u2018Be modest and let your work speak for yourself,\u2019\u201d Lorraine said. \u201cThat\u2019s sort of what I applied to not only my acting work, but my everyday work.\u201d<\/p>\n

Writing for The Independent last year, film critic Geoffrey Macnab wrote about Jack\u2019s \u201cdeserved (if unofficial) retirement\u201d. <\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cThere was a time when the actor was spotted everywhere: in nightclubs, on chat shows, at basketball matches, at movie premieres. No more,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe actor has performed a vanishing act. It is 14 years since his last movie, the rapidly forgotten romcom How Do You Know. One of his friends, music producer Lou Adler, told the WTF podcast that Nicholson now prefers to spend his time \u2018sitting under a tree and reading a book\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
