Stephen Fulton surprisingly came in 2 lbs overweight at 132 lbs for his fight against WBC super featherweight champion O\u2019Shaquie Foster at Friday\u2019s weigh-in for their undercard fight this Saturday, December 6th, at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.<\/p>\n

No Title at Stake Now<\/p>\n

What this means is Foster\u2019s WBC 130-lb title won\u2019t be at stake with Fulton (23-1, 8 KOs) being ineligible to capture the belt if he wins. The fight will still happen. It\u2019s odd that Fulton, who fights at featherweight, would come in overweight by two pounds when he was moving up in weight by four pounds.<\/p>\n

Foster\u2019s Smirk Says Plenty<\/p>\n

During the face-off at the weigh-in today, Foster (23-3, 12 KOs) smirked at Fulton, looking like he was enjoying the misery of his failure on the scale. It was like a mini-victory for O\u2019Shaquie before their fight. It\u2019ll be interesting to see if Fulton can get some extra motivation from this to fight harder than he already intended.<\/p>\n

For Fulton to be this off on making weight it suggests that he either didn\u2019t take the fight as seriously as he should have, or his scales at the gym or at home were off. There\u2019s no other explanation.<\/p>\n

\u201cAin\u2019t this guy [Fulton] going up and challenging the champion [Foster] at 130 lbs? This is a 126-pounder. What is going on, man? That tells you right there that this man wasn\u2019t disciplined during camp.<\/p>\n
