We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.<\/p>\n<p>Your support makes all the difference.Read more<\/p>\n<p>Musicals Week for <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/tv\/news\/strictly-week-11-live-updates-musicals-b2879293.html\">Strictly Come Dancing 2025<\/a> is in the bag as the final five danced to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/tv\/news\/strictly-balvinder-sopal-crying-tears-b2879466.html\">memorable tunes from iconic musicals<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Kicking off the show was<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/tv\/news\/im-a-celebrity-2025-vogue-williams-tom-read-wilson-b2869041.html\"> YouTuber George Clarke <\/a>and his partner Alexis Warr who danced an Argentine Tango to the song \u201cThe Point of No Return\u201d from Andrew Lloyd Webber\u2019s The Phantom of the Opera. The duo impressed the judges, praising its \u201cintensity\u201d and \u201cseriousness\u201d, and awarded them a score of 35.<\/p>\n<p>Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, who composed the musical, gave Clarke a message from \u201cthe opera ghost\u201d and said in a video: \u201cI congratulate you on choosing the music of my legend tonight, I trust that your conversion to musicals is now complete, lest a disaster should occur beyond your imagination\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Next were fan favourites Karen Carney and Carlos Gu, who danced a Samba to \u201cThe Rhythm of Life\u201d from Sweet Charity. Despite the former England footballer admitting that this was the dance she struggled with the most the judges still enjoyed the performance and gave them a score of 34.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Screenshot-2025-12-06-at-19-19-25.png\"  loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" class=\"sc-1mc30lb-0 ggpMaE inline-gallery-btn\"\/><\/p>\n<p>open image in gallery<\/p>\n<p>(BBC)<\/p>\n<p>The third couple was EastEnders actor <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/tv\/news\/strictly-balvinder-sopal-crying-tears-b2879466.html\">Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon<\/a>, who danced a Viennese waltz to \u2018Never Enough\u2019 from The Greatest Showman. The emotionally charged performance was highly praised by the judges, prompting Sopal to break down in tears as she was consoled by judge Motsi Mabuse. This resulted in Sopal\u2019s highest score of the season so far with 35.<\/p>\n<p>The penultimate couple, Amber and Nikita, ultimately topped the leaderboard after scoring a perfect 40 for their Charleston to \u201cSit Down, You\u2019re Rocking the Boat\u201d from Guys and Dolls. \u201cThere\u2019s nothing left to say. This was so brilliant. I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve seen anything like this,\u201d said Anton Du Beke.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly was early favourite Lews Cope and his partner Katya Jones. They danced a lively and punchy Salsa to The Dance at the Gym\u201d from the iconic West Side Story.
