Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left unimpressed just minutes into tonight’s quarter-final<\/p>\n

Within moments of Strictly Come Dancing<\/a> beginning tonight (December 6), viewers took to social media to voice their displeasure at one particular feature.<\/p>\n

The quarter-final was the much-anticipated Musicals Week, with contestants delivering a dazzling opening number comprising a medley of hit songs from popular stage shows, each demonstrating their abilities in turn.<\/p>\n

Yet it was the judges’ entrance that sparked frustration amongst fans. Craig Revel Horwood<\/a>, Motsi Mabuse<\/a>, Shirley Ballas<\/a>, and Anton Du Beke<\/a> made their way onto the set dancing to One Night Only from Dreamgirls. Viewers were unimpressed by their performance and headed straight to X to express their views.<\/p>\n

“The judges introduction dance is always so embarrassing you’d think they’d be able to choreograph a coordinated 10 seconds,” one viewer complained.<\/p>\n

“It’s irritating to me that the pros and contestants can perform an opening number like that, then the judges and hosts can’t manage a few seconds of coordinated side-stepping,” another remarked.<\/p>\n

A third commented: “The judges always mess up their little dance routine every week and it makes me wonder how they’re qualified to judge anyone.”<\/p>\n

A fourth added: “You’ve got to admire the brass neck of Craig dancing like that every week at the start of the show then having the nerve to judge other people #Strictly.”<\/p>\n

Despite the criticism aimed at the judges’ efforts, viewers were united in their appreciation of the contestants’ spectacular opening performance. “Such an amazing opening from all the professionals and the five remaining couples massive well done as always and here we go with Musicals week!” one viewer enthused.<\/p>\n

Another remarked: “THAT GROUP DANCE? OBSESSED. Amber doing what she does best always.”<\/p>\n

YouTuber George Clarke and his partner Alexis Ware were the first pairing to take their turn on the dance floor, reports the Express<\/a>. The duo delivered an Argentine Tango set to Point of No Return from the record-breaking musical Phantom of the Opera.<\/p>\n
