Create a calorie deficit<\/p>\n<p>According to Raj, the primary step to get started on a weight-loss journey is creating a <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/lifestyle\/health\/nutritionist-shares-10-signs-you-are-on-a-healthy-calorie-deficit-plan-the-scale-moves-slowly-but-steadily-101764389243607.html\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"calorie deficit\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">calorie deficit<\/a>, which means that the total energy that is entering your body through everything that you consume should be less than the energy that your body utilises. He states that the rate of weight loss is determined by the difference between calories in and calories out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you are not losing weight currently, it simply means that you are not in a calorie deficit, because if you are in a calorie deficit, your body will have no choice but to lose weight,\u201d Raj notes. \u201cThis is thermodynamics.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> 2. Regular exercise<\/p>\n<p>While the calorie deficit can be created in many ways, one of the best options is to exercise, which certainly improves overall health. However, Raj points out that exercise is a \u201csystemic process\u201d that \u201chelps you to lose weight as a system.\u201d He stresses that there are no exercises that will help you lose weight only in specific parts of your body and not the rest.<\/p>\n<p> 3.
