Dame Helen has been acting for around sixty years, starting her career playing Cleopatra with the National Youth Theatre in 1965.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Since then, she\u2019s become one of the country\u2019s most legendary actors, playing characters from the iconic DCI Jane Tennison in Prime Suspect, to Queen Elizabeth II<\/a> in The Queen.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The source continued: \u2018His tone is something Dame Helen doesn\u2019t like, along with his lateness.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hardy, who stars as Alfie Solomons in Peaky Blinders<\/a>, is married to Charlotte Riley, who he met while filming Wuthering Heights in 2009.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The actor is said to get cross behind the scenes, according to another source who spoke to the Daily Mail.\u00a0<\/p>\n

His behaviour on set has been the subject of reports before, after a feud developed between Hardy and Charlize Theron<\/a> while filming for Mad Max: Fury Road, partly fuelled by Hardy\u2019s lateness, as well as his behaviour on set<\/a>. The latter leading to Theron requesting on-set protection.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hardy later reflected in a book by reporter Kylie Buchanan that he was \u2018in over his head\u2019 in many ways, and Theron needed a \u2018better, perhaps more experienced partner\u2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Metro has reached out to reps for Hardy, Dame Helen and Paramount+ for comment.<\/p>\n
