{"id":304697,"date":"2025-12-08T08:35:16","date_gmt":"2025-12-08T08:35:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/304697\/"},"modified":"2025-12-08T08:35:16","modified_gmt":"2025-12-08T08:35:16","slug":"the-world-of-art-remains-unresponsive-to-londons-expansive-graffiti-scene-say-artists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/304697\/","title":{"rendered":"The world of art remains unresponsive to London&#8217;s expansive graffiti scene, say artists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>London has a vibrant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swlondoner.co.uk\/tag\/legal-graffiti\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">graffiti<\/a> culture and with spaces like the Leake street arches in Waterloo offering an alternative to the often illegal counterpart, the future of street art in London seems bright.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But according to graffiti writers in the capital, London\u2019s art scene remains unresponsive.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And the only solo artist exhibition in the UK to date is Banksy in Bristol.<\/p>\n<p>Graffiti has grown into a huge commercial <a href=\"https:\/\/krink.com\/collections\/paint-markers?srsltid=AfmBOorBdn5GnMuB34kfbo90-pxVCsTNIFAZuafYUfhXuDJ56AWHgeas\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">enterprise<\/a>, with many supporters across the capital, but institutions still seem set on traditional art mediums.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Remi Rough is a graffiti artist from Dulwich.
