Gervonta Davis has suggested that Jake Paul is at fault for their fight cancellation, despite the serious accusations levelled against him.<\/p>\n

Davis and Paul were set to meet in an exhibition match<\/a> on November 14 in Miami.<\/p>\n

Although it was cancelled 10 days before they were set to lace up their gloves, with Paul saying it was due to Davis facing a civil lawsuit<\/a>.<\/p>\n

‘Tank’ has been accused of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress following an alleged incident in October.<\/p>\n

Following the collapse of their bout, Paul didn’t refrain from hurling insults towards Davis, even branding him a ‘human piece of garbage’.<\/p>\n

Davis stayed silent while the 28-year-old searched for his replacement, with the likes of Ryan Garcia<\/a> and Terence Crawford<\/a> among Paul’s list of targets.<\/p>\n

After the allegations became public, the YouTuber-turned-boxer opted to pen a deal for a sanctioned heavyweight contest<\/a> against Anthony Joshua<\/a> instead.<\/p>\n

As Paul and Joshua prepare to go head-to-head on December 19<\/a>, Davis has attempted to shift the blame onto ‘The Problem Child’ for their deal being derailed in the first place.<\/p>\n

In a now deleted post on X, Davis wrote: \u201cHe was getting his a** beat in camp.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was gonna do him bad\u2026 But everything happens for a reason that\u2019s why I didn\u2019t trip.\u201d<\/p>\n

The WBA world lightweight champion also fired shots at Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, who were behind the press release that condemned him.<\/p>\n

He wrote: \u201cMVP couldn\u2019t uphold nothing. Al [Haymon] had to come in to take over everything\u2026 <\/p>\n

“MVP IS GARBAGE! Y\u2019all run nothing at Netflix. Y\u2019all are just workers.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Davis’ situation remain unclear as he faces serious allegations, Paul certainly wasted no time in penning a new deal.<\/p>\n

Paul is scheduled for an eight-round clash against former two-time heavyweight world champion Joshua at the Kaseya Center in Miami this month.<\/p>\n

The pair had verbally agreed to fight in 2026, although Paul’s situation with Davis drastically sped up proceedings.<\/p>\n

It will see Joshua return for the first time in 15 months as a huge favourite to beat Paul, as he looks to bounce back from defeat to Daniel Dubois last September.<\/p>\n

There is a clear disparity between the rivals<\/a> in almost every category, and many including fighters and analysts have expressed serious concerns for Paul’s health.<\/a><\/p>\n
