by Studio Saransh<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/tag\/self-designed-studios\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">self-designed office<\/a>\u00a0of Studio Saransh is named Oasis, drawing on its peaceful setting in the quiet suburbs of Ahmedabad.<\/p>\n<p>Its design encourages employees to step outdoors throughout the day, with a central, sunken courtyard at its heart that features a lily pond and is surrounded by a network of open walkways.<\/p>\n<p>According to the architect, visitors to the studio often comment on how &#8220;the studio feels more like a House, Maharashtra, by SJK Architects<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The most popular Indian architecture project featured on Dezeen in 2025 was The Light House, a five-storey, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/tag\/multi-generational-homes\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">multi-generational home<\/a> in Nagpur.<\/p>\n<p>It has a stacked form animated by a mix of projecting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/tag\/balconies\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">balconies<\/a> and wooden shutters that emulate traditional perforated Studio<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Abin Design Studio elevated this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/tag\/temples\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">temple<\/a> above ground to accommodate the tides of the nearby river delta.<\/p>\n<p>It is accessed by a winding pathway that encourages visitors to slow down and is marked from afar by a corbelled brick spire that crowns its pillared noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Toybox, Goa, by Grounded<\/a><\/p>\n<p>While many new public buildings were completed in India this year, some architects turned their attention to reviving the country&#8217;s existing building supply.<\/p>\n<p>Among them was Grounded, which reinvigorated a 160-year-old Portuguese-style <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/tag\/houses\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">house<\/a> close to the banks of the river Moira in the village of Aldona.<\/p>\n<p>The studio has preserved many original Goan-Portuguese features of the home, named rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rainbow International School, Andhra Pradesh, by Spacefiction Studio<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/tag\/schools\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">school<\/a> accommodates the growing student population in the small town of Nellore. This year, the studio also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2025\/07\/07\/urmila-kanoria-black-box-kanoria-centre-balkrishna-doshi\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">extended the late Indian architect&#8217;s Kanoria Centre for Arts<\/a> and completed his last-ever building \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2025\/10\/24\/balkrishna-doshi-retreat-vitra-campus\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the Doshi Retreat at Vitra Campus in Germany<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a Erode.<\/p>\n<p>Its inconspicuous stone walls open into an unexpectedly dark interior, which is lined with red <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/tag\/concrete\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">concrete<\/a> and provides access to a central courtyard with an Adansonia digitata tree \u2013 a species referred to as the &#8220;tree of life&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a openings and niches for birds can be found throughout, which take visual cues from an arched flower trellis built by the community to frame the route into the site.<\/p>\n<p><a
