Two nursing students at Wrexham University have been recognised for their outstanding contributions to nursing and healthcare.<\/p>\n
Alwen Sayer, Student Nurse (Adult), was named Nursing Student Award Winner, while Abbie Sanders, Student Nurse (Child), achieved Runner-Up in the same category at this year\u2019s Royal College of Nursing (RCN) Wales Nurse of the Year Awards.<\/p>\n

Alwen and Abbie, who studied at the university\u2019s St Asaph campus, were praised at the recent awards ceremony in Cardiff for their professionalism, compassion, and commitment to evidence-based practice throughout their studies and clinical placements.<\/p>\n
Paul Flanagan, Principal of Coleg Llandrillo at Gr\u0175p Llandrillo Menai said: \u201cAlwen is a shining example of how the North Wales Tertiary Alliance is transforming education in our region.<\/p>\n
Through this collaborative approach, Alwen successfully completed the Certificate of Higher Education in Healthcare Practice at the college, creating a clear and accessible progression pathway into higher education.<\/p>\n
