Sydney Sweeney is addressing the ongoing rumors that she had plastic surgery after speculation ramped up following a viral moment where her appearance was compared to a \u201cMAGA look.\u201d <\/a><\/p>\n

The \u201cChristy\u201d star, 28, has made headlines in recent months, particularly for the backlash over her controversial American Eagle \u201cgood jeans\/genes\u201d campaign <\/a>in July. During the fallout over the campaign, President Donald Trump<\/a> and the White House backed the star<\/a> amid the criticism. Sweeney was subsequently outed as a registered Republican<\/a> shortly after. <\/p>\n

In a recent interview with Allure<\/a>, Sweeney and her co-star, Amanda Seyfried, were asked to \u201cdebunk\u201d a \u201cbeauty rumor.\u201d <\/p>\n

Sweeney jumped at the opportunity to insist that she has never gone under the knife, quickly blurting out, \u201cLet\u2019s debunk them all.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cI have never gotten work done,\u201d she said in the Dec. 4 chat, telling Seyfried, \u201cI am so scared of needles. You have no idea.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cEuphoria\u201d actor went on to scoff at the social media users who she said compared her before and after photos online to theorize over what procedures she might have undergone. <\/p>\n

\"SydneySydney Sweeney went viral earlier this month after her outfit was likened by many critics to a “Mar-a-Lago look” after she appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Dec. 1.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou guys, you cannot compare a photo of me from when I was 12 to a photo of me at 26 with professional makeup and lighting,\u201d she explained. \u201cOf course I\u2019m going to look different.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taking another swipe at her critics, Sweeney added, \u201cEverybody on social media is insane.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cWhite Lotus\u201d alum argued that if she had gotten work done, her \u201cface would be even\u201d before claiming to Seyfried that one of her eyelids supposedly \u201copens a little more than the other\u201d due to a childhood wakeboarding accident.<\/p>\n

Ahead of her chat with Allure, Sweeney said in an October interview with Variety<\/a> that she was told altering her appearance was the only way she was going to \u201cmake it\u201d in Hollywood. <\/p>\n

\u201cI have very strong eyebrow muscles,\u201d she told the outlet. \u201cAnd I had someone tell me to fix my face, or else I\u2019m not going to make it. I should get Botox. I was 16!\u201d<\/p>\n
