A nationwide recall is underway for more than 11,000 bottles of a common blood pressure medication, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reported. The drugs\u2014a generic version of Ziac\u2014were initially recalled on Nov. 21 after sample testing found trace amounts of a cholesterol medication made by the same company, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals. On Dec. 1, the FDA gave the recall a Class III risk level, indicating a low risk of harm.\n<\/p>\n
The recall impacts prescription 2.5-milligram\/6.25-milligram bisoprolol fumarate and hydrochlorothiazide tablets in the following sizes and codes:\n<\/p>\n

The FDA did not provide specific instructions, but Class III recalls are unlikely to cause adverse health consequences, and stopping a medication could be riskier.\n<\/p>\n
