You could certainly be forgiven for thinking that the last thing Netflix<\/a> needs is another legal drama.<\/p>\n

From the likes of Suits<\/a> to The Lincoln Lawyer<\/a> and Anatomy of a Scandal<\/a>, the courtroom has become a familiar setting for the streaming giant.<\/p>\n

But for those who have already watched the first two episodes of the new Korean legal drama Pro Bono, which debuted on Saturday, it appears the practice of law is still being sought after by viewers.<\/p>\n

Starring Jung Kyung-ho as Kang David, the 12-part series follows the high-achieving but arrogant judge as his world falls apart when he becomes embroiled in a scandal.<\/p>\n

Forced to become a public interest solicitor, Kang meets fellow pro bono barrister Park Gi-ppeum (So Joo-yeon), who is passionate about championing human rights, and embarks on a legal and personal journey of rediscovery. <\/p>\n

Despite Netflix only releasing the first two episodes of the series, viewers have claimed that they are \u2018already sold\u2019 by the Suits-style drama.<\/p>\n

Taking to Reddit<\/a>, Nice-Protection-7564 said: \u2018I love how Jung Kyung-ho has found a niche and playing characters who are well intentioned but arrogant narcissists. <\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s a nice blend of comedy<\/a> and I\u2019m sure a great deal of humanity and compassion that will come later on.\u2019<\/p>\n

Wide_Examination142 added: \u2018Oh, this show is so me! I absolutely adore Kang Da Wit\u2019s character archetype. Smart, snarky, cynical, and self-serving, but, like an ogre, one suspects that he\u2019s got layers. <\/p>\n

\u2018It is going to be so much fun to watch him headbutt and slowly gel with the rest of the pro bono team. The supporting cast outside of the team also has me super excited. Choi Dae Han, Lee Moon Shik, and Sung Dong Il \u2013 I know I\u2019m going to be in for a good time.\u2019<\/p>\n

OvenEqual also wrote: \u2018I did not see that plot twist or the explanatory epilogue coming. I like that the show has more depth to it than the trailers led me to believe.\u2019<\/p>\n

Justambrose similarly said: \u2018I honestly thought I\u2019m burnt out from legal K-Drama, couldn\u2019t finish Beyond The Bar, but these first two episodes grabbed my attention. Jung Kyungho is just so charismatic. I really want to like Oh Jungin the partner but damn\u2026 that\u2019s really sketchy.\u2019<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, @__kdramaland claimed on X that their \u2018jaw was on the floor\u2019 after the first episode\u2019s twist.<\/p>\n

This comes after a \u2018spectacular\u2019 Netflix drama raced up the top 10 ranking<\/a> after viewers binge watched it in one sitting.<\/p>\n

Ripple, an eight-part series, follows four strangers living in\u00a0New York<\/a>\u00a0whose lives criss-cross and intersect.<\/p>\n

The official synopsis affirms: \u2018The message of this show is: just wait for the rainbow. Some of the best things in life can\u2019t happen without the\u00a0storm<\/a>.\u2019<\/p>\n

The first two episodes of Pro Bono are available to watch on Netflix.<\/p>\n
