This Morning presenter Ben Shephard said an emotional goodbye to one of his ITV colleagues, who has been working with him for over two decades, whilst live on air<\/p>\n

Ben Shephard<\/a> took a moment whilst live on air to bid an emotional farewell to a This Morning<\/a> legend, who has worked with him for over two decades. The ITV<\/a> presenter said goodbye to his colleague, who only has days left on the show after quitting. During the show on Wednesday (10 December), Ben and his co-host Cat Deeley<\/a> were making some Christmas<\/a> crafts with Sara Davies, when Ben mentioned the incoming loss on the show.<\/p>\n

“Darren’s on camera four, it’s Darren’s last week with me,” the presenter said. Cat replied with a sweet but sad, “Aw!”, before Ben continued to talk about his time with Darren. “Darren and I have worked together since the early 2000s.” In the early 2000s, Ben was on GMTV, the weekday breakfast show on ITV, where Darren Bramley was already a camera operator.<\/p>\n

Ben’s words came shortly after he made a mistake with one of his crafts, as he didn’t realise he had to seal his paper Christmas trees with glue. Nodding towards Darren, he noted that the camera man was amused by his error.<\/p>\n

“You knew this was going to happen, didn’t you, Darren?” Ben said. Another camera then turned to Darren who was chuckling from behind his own equipment.<\/p>\n

This comes just a day after fans were left confused when Ben wasn’t joined by Cat on the show. The two are the usual hosting duo for This Morning Monday through Thursday.<\/p>\n

Ben instead presented alongside Alison Hammond<\/a> on Tuesday 9 December. Though the pair referenced the presenting lineup change, they did not explain Cat’s absence.<\/p>\n

Instead, Ben simply said: \u201cHow about this, Alison Hammond!\u201d Bake Off host Alison replied: \u201cWhat am I doing here, what is going on?\u201d Ben said: \u201cChristmas wishes do come true, that\u2019s all I\u2019ll say.<\/p>\n

“Our first time together \u2013 you never forget your first time, Alison,\u201d he added. Alison responded: \u201cIt was bound to happen, it was always going to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n
