“We’re never going to quit,” Anita insists ahead of the final. <\/p>\n
“There’s obviously been disappointment so far about the things that have been out of our control, but there’s a life lesson in that, isn’t there? <\/p>\n
“When Guatemala closed down, we missed a bus, or whatever, all those things are completely out of your control, and it’s very frustrating, but that’s part of the journey.”<\/p>\n
For Anita and Bal, the race has become about far more than reaching the finish line. <\/p>\n
They have treasured the time together and the chance to get to know each other better.<\/p>\n
“Honestly, this is life, and this is what we’ve been through,” Anita says.<\/p>\n
