A new set of bespoke window displays has appeared on Kenilworth’s High Street as Mike Vaughan Cycles has teamed up with local artist Daisy Mitchell to refresh the look of one of the town’s longest standing independent businesses.<\/p>\n

Twenty-three-year-old Daisy, a Kenilworth artist known for her detailed illustration work<\/a>, produced two striking designs for the shop’s windows. <\/p>\n

Each piece was created over several weeks and unveiled in time for the High Street Christmas light switch on. <\/p>\n

Her artwork celebrates both the local area and the wider world of cycling, one window features Kenilworth Castle, and the new bike trails at Newbold Comyn in Leamington Spa, while the other captures the spirit of road cycling with nods to Majorca, the Alps and the Tour de France.<\/p>\n

Alongside the new artwork, the inside of the shop has also been refreshed, improving space, layout and the customer experience.<\/p>\n

“We wanted the windows to reflect who we are – part of the community, but also a destination for cyclists from across the region,” said Mike Coleman of Mike Vaughan Cycles. <\/p>\n

“Daisy’s work brings that balance to life. <\/p>\n

“It’s local, it’s inspiring and it’s exactly the sort of energy we want people to feel when they pass the shop.”<\/p>\n

The reaction so far has been extremely positive, with customers, local residents and industry reps all commenting on the new look.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1959, Mike Vaughan Cycles has built a reputation for expert service, specialist knowledge and a range that spans everything from children’s bikes, commuter, and electric models to high performance road and mountain bikes. <\/p>\n

While the shop remains proud of its place in Kenilworth, its customer base extends nationally, with riders travelling from across the UK for fittings, servicing, bespoke builds and advice.<\/p>\n

The business has also strengthened its premium service offering through a new collaboration with Scott Millns at Fit My Bike<\/a>, bringing advanced bike fitting expertise to riders seeking the highest level of comfort, performance and precision.<\/p>\n

This December, the business continued its ongoing community involvement by donating three children’s bikes as Christmas raffle prizes to Leek Wootton, Thorns and Priors Field primary schools, helping each school raise money for their PTA through their Christmas fundraising events.<\/p>\n

“We’ve always believed in being part of the town, and see the shop as a community asset,” Mike said. <\/p>\n

“Working with a local artist, supporting schools, investing in the shop, it all feeds into offering something that feels personal, professional and worthwhile.”<\/p>\n
