Carl Froch<\/a> has given his views on a potential clash between British heavyweights Fabio Wardley<\/a> and Daniel Dubois<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Wardley is the newest belt holder in the banner division, having been promoted to full WBO champion following two-time undisputed ruler Oleksandr Usyk\u2019s decision to vacate that belt rather than face his mandatory.<\/a><\/p>\n

It leaves the Ipswich man looking for a first defence in 2026, with some suggesting it could be against former IBF ruler Dubois.<\/p>\n

Dubois was a man in form in 2024, having knocked out both Jarrell Miller and then Filip Hrgovic, and then continuing his run when he beat Anthony Joshua by fifth round KO back in September last year. He then put his IBF belt on the line with Usyk back in August but was stopped inside the distance, and has not fought since.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Fightlens,<\/a> former super-middleweight world champion Froch was asked what might happen if the two were to meet now.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf he doesn\u2019t get caught on the chin from a big right hand off Dubois, Wardley could outwork him, but it\u2019s a dangerous fight for Wardley that is. He\u2019s a big puncher Dubois, a dangerous puncher for 12 rounds.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut Wardley is there now isn\u2019t he after beating Parker. Parker\u2019s world level, he\u2019s done the job with him. He\u2019s got options, but at some stage, he\u2019s got to take the plunge. But I don\u2019t think I\u2019d fight Dubois.\u201d<\/p>\n
