Gogglebox<\/a>\u2019s Baasit Siddiqui and his rarely-seen wife have been supported by fans after sharing a sweet family update.<\/p>\n

TV star Baasit shot to fame when he joined the very first series of the long-running Channel 4<\/a> show back in 2013, along with the rest of his beloved family<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Over the years, Baasit has been joined by the likes of his two brothers, Umar and Raza, as well as their father Sid, on the sofa. His mum, Nasreen, however, has not appeared on the show.<\/p>\n

And it\u2019s fair to say it didn\u2019t take them long to become firm favourites with fans. Over the years, the Siddiquis – who live in Derby – have had fans in stitches thanks to their hilarious one-liners and comical takes on the telly highlights.<\/p>\n

Away from the show though, Baasit is loved-up with wife Melissa<\/a>. The pair – who got married in 2012 – are parents to two children, Amelia and Theodore.<\/p>\n

This week though, Baasit and Mel had their fans rallying around with support after they shared a sweet update on their beloved family, revealing their son had just finished performing at the school nativity.<\/p>\n

Taking to his Instagram<\/a>, the TV star uploaded several photos from the momentous day and wrote in the caption: \u201cOur little superstar<\/p>\n

This one smashed his school nativity today as a narrator. He’s been practising his lines every day and it definitely paid off!!<\/p>\n

\u201cMe & Daddy loved watching you and are so proud 5 lines, 2 shows & lots of singing\/dancing. Well done little man. Nothing makes you feel more festive than attending the school nativity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans quickly rushed to the comments to congratulate and gush over the update. One person said: \u201cSuch a little star, shining bright not surprised you’re all so proud of him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another added: \u201cA very special little man. Well done.\u201d A third chimed in: \u201cHow wonderful so pleased he smashed it. Lovely memories cherish time rushes by.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Siddiquis began appearing on Gogglebox when Baasit was approached by a friend who was working on the pilot episode.<\/p>\n

Umar previously revealed to Radio Times: “We did a bit of an audition, where people came round with a camera and some flash cards \u2013 images of Boris Johnson<\/a>, Simon Cowell… and they said, ‘Right, just say the first thing that comes into your mind’.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhatever dynamic we had seemed to suit the show, because they asked us if we wanted to be part of it. And they’ve kept on asking us.”<\/p>\n

\u201cThough they’ve gained fame across the nation, Sid insisted his life hasn’t changed “vastly”, with the retired engineer remarking: “As far as our lifestyles are concerned, it’s still the same way. We were a close-knit family and that we remain… If anything, we’ve probably consolidated that because of the show.”<\/p>\n
