He led the line as his side lifted the Serie A and Copa Libertadores titles last season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Unsurprisingly, the scouting departments at numerous club around the world were on high alert.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Igor Jesus made his Brazil debut in October last year, scoring in a 2-1 World Cup qualifying win in difficult conditions in Chile.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">South American football expert Tim Vickery called him &#8220;the modern-day Drogba&#8221; after he scored the winner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/sport\/football\/live\/c4geg45kn11t\" class=\"ssrcss-k8mrr8-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">against European champions Paris St-Germain<\/a> in the Club World Cup group stage during the summer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Igor Jesus joined Forest in the summer from Brazilian side Botafogo.
