Her latest spotlight moment comes courtesy of Sports Illustrated, where she appears on the December cover alongside Hall of Fame boxer Christy Martin.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The timing follows the release of Christy, the biopic centred on Martin\u2019s career.\u00a0<\/p>\n
While the film didn\u2019t rake in huge box-office numbers, Sweeney herself earned glowing praise\u2014despite suffering a concussion on set.<\/p>\n
Filming clearly left its mark on her.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t usually write a lot in my captions but this movie and experience I feel needs more than just a few words,\u201d Sweeney wrote on Instagram.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have wrapped filming Christy Martin\u2019s story and it has been one of the most emotional, transformative experiences of my life. Christy\u2019s journey is so deeply inspiring, and having her by my side during this process was nothing short of surreal. There were moments on set where I\u2019d glance over at her standing by the monitors, cheering us on, and I\u2019d just become so emotional. Knowing what she\u2019s endured, what she\u2019s pushed through to be there in that moment\u2014it made me want to cry.\u201d<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s when golf found itself on the receiving end of the snub heard around the PGA Tour.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time Sweeney has stirred online chatter. She was at the centre of a controversy surrounding her American Eagle \u201cgreat jeans\u201d campaign \u2014 a storm that eventually blew over but got unpleasant before it did.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Yet through it all, she\u2019s remained unfazed, hopping around the globe and popping up at major events like the NASCAR Cup Series Championship.<\/p>\n
But judging by her blunt remarks on golf, the PGA Tour and Tiger Woods probably shouldn\u2019t bank on Sydney Sweeney rocking up to any of their pro-ams in the future.\u00a0<\/p>\n
