The Welsh capital\u2019s market has been\u00a0organised by fair crafts company Craft*Folk for the past 30 years, and is an opportunity for local artists, crafts people and food and drink producers to sell their goods. From Monday to Saturday trading times\u00a010am until 6pm (7pm on Thursdays). On Sundays,\u00a0the market\u00a0stays open from 10am until 5am and on\u00a0its final day, the market will close at 4pm.\u00a0<\/p>\n
What are the main attractions?<\/p>\n
The large majority of stall holders at Cardiff Christmas Market represent small Welsh businesses and you won\u2019t find their products anywhere on the high street. Expect to find gifts with\u00a0loads of Welsh charm \u2013\u00a0hand-stitched red dragons, wooden love spoons, cushions displaying with the word \u2018cwtch\u2019, silver Celtic jewellery \u2013 as well as locally made foodstuff. Of course, there\u2019s ladles of mulled wine too.\u00a0There\u2019s also a Winter Wonderland, complete with an ice rink and ferris wheel, down the road<\/p>\n
How to get to Cardiff Christmas Market<\/p>\n
If travelling into\u00a0the city by train (there\u2019s a direct service from London Paddington every 30 minutes), alight at Cardiff Central Station rather than Cardiff Queen Street. From there, it\u2019s just a five minute walk to the Christmas market. If you\u2019re coming in by car, organisers recommend driving into the city centre via the J32 junction.\u00a0There are loads of pay and display and NCP car parks dotted around the city, or you can use one of its\u00a0numerous\u00a0park and ride facilities<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n You can also opt to arrive via water taxi.
