It said symptoms included persistent itching – particularly at night – as well as a red, bumpy rash, thin lines or burrows on the skin on the wrists, fingers, elbows or waistline.<\/p>\n
Although scabies is “uncomfortable”, it is “fully treatable”. <\/p>\n
The condition should be treated quickly to stop it spreading, the NHS advises.<\/p>\n
People should go to their GP if they are under two months old, pregnant or breastfeeding.<\/p>\n
People should also seek medical help if symptoms worsen or do not improve.<\/p>\n
