Leaked code from an unreleased build of iOS 26 reportedly<\/a> contains references to several new features in the works for iOS 26.4 and iOS 27 next year. Here\u2019s what the code reveals.<\/p>\n What to expect from iOS 26.4, iOS 27, and iOS 28<\/p>\n This week, Filipe Esp\u00f3sito at\u00a0Macworld has been reporting on leaks stemming from an unreleased internal build of iOS 26. The code uncovered a variety<\/a> of AirTag 2 features, and also three upgrades<\/a> coming to Apple\u2019s new Studio Display.<\/p>\n Today, Esp\u00f3sito has published a new report<\/a> focused on features in the works for iOS 26.4, iOS 27, and beyond.<\/p>\n Here are features he found referenced for iOS 26.4:<\/p>\n Siri\u2019s long-awaited AI upgrades<\/p>\n Credit cards in third-party apps can be saved to iCloud Keychain<\/p>\n Folders are coming to Freeform<\/p>\n \u201cSports Tier\u201d feature flag for the Apple TV app<\/p>\n Extra security measures to check device integrity before logging into Apple Account\/iCloud<\/p>\n For iOS 27 and iOS 28, the report mentions the following:<\/p>\n There are new feature flags tied to improved collections in the Photos app with iOS 27. The update will also introduce a new pairing system for AirPods. It\u2019s unclear how this system will work, given that the current method is already quite simple, but presumably it involves under-the-hood improvements to make pairing even faster and more reliable.<\/p>\n For iOS 28, the company plans to add new metrics to sleep tracking with Apple Watch, including time in bed. There\u2019s also a flag that indicates the Health app is coming to the Mac with macOS 28.<\/p>\n Several other features are mentioned that aren\u2019t explicitly tied to a specific iOS release, but will likely arrive in one of the updates mentioned above. <\/p>\n For example, there\u2019s improved Find My support for AirPods with a \u201cPrecise Outdoor Location\u201d feature that might be exclusive to AirPods Pro 3.
