A Walsall Healthcare worker is looking forward to seeing her singer\/songwriter son take centre stage on Simon Cowell\u2019s new Netflix docuseries The Next Act, which airs tonight (Wednesday 10 December).<\/p>\n
The show will focus on the music mogul and record executive\u2019s efforts to create the next global boyband sensation.<\/p>\n
And proud mum Zoe Christoffersen, whose son Hendrik, 19, \u00a0is among the hopefuls taking part, can\u2019t wait to watch the highs and the lows unfold over tonight\u2019s six episodes.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey filmed in our home for some of the footage, but I\u2019m obviously sworn to secrecy over what happens to Hendrik,\u201d explained Zoe, a Family and Carers\u2019 Support Officer at Walsall Manor Hospital.<\/p>\n
Zoe, a mum of three, \u00a0was a professional vocalist herself for several years so Hendrik, who works in Nandos, has obviously inherited musical genes.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe show follows the singers\u2019 experiences in Miami where they work with Simon Cowell\u2019s team as he\u2019s looking to replicate the success of other famous boy bands such as One Direction,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s certainly a chance in a lifetime for all those taking part and I\u2019ll be glued to the screen watching Hendrik\u2019s progress.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Next Act will feature open casting calls and follow performers\u2019 progress up to the release of the band\u2019s debut single and has been described as \u201can all-access pass for viewers to catch every moment of Simon\u2019s next chapter.
