This year, however, he picked a title launching in a few short weeks.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps5\/highguard\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Highguard<\/a> is a new free-to-play FPS from Wildlight Entertainment, a team of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps5\/apex_legends\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Apex Legends<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps4\/titanfall_2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Titanfall<\/a> veterans.<\/p>\n<p>The game\u2019s described as a PvP online raid shooter, with one of its big standout features being its inclusion of horses. Seriously, that aspect really sticks out among the futuristic weapon tech and sci-fi adjacent art.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the official blurb:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom the creators of Apex Legends and Titanfall, comes Highguard: a player-versus-player raid shooter where players will ride, fight, and raid as Wardens, arcane gunslingers sent to fight for control of a mythical continent. Battle rival Warden crews for possession of the Shieldbreaker, then break into and destroy the enemy base to secure territory in this all-new breed of shooter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As you\u2019d expect from a team with this kind of legacy, the gameplay looks rock solid \u2013 although perhaps not massively original.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe created Wildlight because we wanted a game studio where design leads and new games can be built without compromise,\u201d game director Chad Grenier said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur time on Apex Legends and Titanfall taught us a lot about what it takes to build and sustain a successful franchise.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With the title dropping in a little over six or so weeks, you won\u2019t have to wait too long to try it for yourselves.<\/p>\n<p>But has this got the chops to make a name in a crowded field?
